About kb paints

Since I was a little girl I loved art. I was always drawing, painting, coloring, you name it I was doing it. Sometimes it was on my walls, but hey! You can't tame art! I just looked at that blank wall as an open canvas screaming "MAKE ME BEAUTIFUL!"

As I got older my style of art became more, well, me. I got more and more comfortable with painting, and fell in love with acrylics on canvas. I still, however, enjoy chalk art, pencil sketches, multimedia (usually involves spray paint, acrylics, markers all combined into one piece of art), interior design, and photography.

I chose to go to the Art Institute of Colorado right out of high school for interior design. I completed one year of the program, but decided to leave. I chose to go on a different path, and make art my passion again instead of being forced to complete for a grade.

After I dropped out of AI I worked retail for a while. I became a manager, but lost time to do what I wanted to do: paint. After being with that company for a bit I chose, again, the path of my heart and made time for my painting. I truly think that was one of the best decisions I've made for a while. In doing that I've had the opportunity to create more art for people I loved.

As I painted for free and gave all of my work to mentors, friends, and family I was told time and time again to sell them. Fortunately, my mom owns her own hair salon and four bare walls again screaming "MAKE ME BEAUTIFUL!" I now have paintings (on canvas this time) hung on her walls, and I have sold a few of them to her clients and I have orders coming in all the time from more people asking for specific pictures. My most recent accomplishment has been painting for one of my friends. She requested a small 8x10 lotus flower (sold for $50) and a 16x20 windmill in a field of sunflowers (sold for $120). It was after that exciting moment to post my paintings on a more permanent than a Facebook "group."

I hope you all enjoy what you see.

Please, if your home or business is yearning for a creative touch let me know! I paint walls too! ;)
